This one's inspired by Tim Hodkinson of orbittrap.ca. Checking orbittrap to see if some new controversial issue has been raised, has become a daily practice  ;D.

I was impressed by Tim's "thesis" on fractal art and decided that fiddling with fractals in "pixel modifying" software might add an additional dimension to some renders. This is the (first) result. It was also a challenge to keep the detail and the filesize to < 500 kb. So I had to reduce the image from the original 1200 X 800 to 900 X 600 to be able to post it here. And now I'm keeping my fingers crossed hoping that the FF-conversion  will not destroy the rest of the detail... Maybe it's finally time to open up a DA account or an account on another hi-res platform...

So here we are at a crossroads. Should I continue by exploring into the 3D fractalworld with M3D (and slowly getting the hang of Mandelbulber) which still continues to amaze and surprise me or should I focus on postprocessing and increase my knowledge of filters, masks, layers, etcetera? I haven't decided yet, but one thing is for sure: While exploring can create unsuspected and random beauty in a specific parameter set, serious postprocessing needs a (bit of a) predefined plan. A different way of thinking. And an extra set of tools. Seems to me that the possibilities have once more become more infinite...
