Post by: wolfwing1 on August 01, 2011, 11:23:58 PM I've noticed that when I use the paramaters some people make with their fractals they come up as white negative images, all white for the fractals with a greyish background, and the image size often is small, is this just because I'm using latest version, they are using oldest, or because they are doing other things to get the colours that don't translate into paramaters? Just wondering if it's a problem I'm doing, or just normal.

Post by: lenord on August 01, 2011, 11:47:03 PM Using Lightmaps will cause that if you do not have a Lightmap reference image in the Slot used for those specific Parameters. Just either turn off those lights or switch to a lightmap Slot that has a reference image, I have 117 map images and dont use the inital 15 that come preloaded.

Often the artist publishes preview parameters with different colors, image sizes, whatever. And using own maps can lead to these whitening artifacts if you don't have such an map, a little issue with lightmaps and the current program version, just turn this light off. The parameter should give you a starting point for new discoveries, so this is nice anyways! Title: Re: paramaters coming up with white images rather then coloured. How do you find more light map or make them? I'm still figuring out how to take things beyond the initial pictures.
