Title: near clipping Post by: muchogrande on July 27, 2011, 12:43:19 AM Hi, I've got a problem with parts of a fractal getting cut off when they get close to the camera -- any way to fix this?
thanks -m Title: Re: near clipping Post by: Sfumato on July 27, 2011, 09:02:11 PM Hi. muchogrande! There are several ways to obviate the problem: - open '3D Navi" (in the left top of the main win) and start 'walking' away (two buttons with up & down arrows) - check 'fixed zoom and steps' in lower right of the '3D Navi' and You'll see two small buttons appear on the left just under the image (up and down arrows as well) with 'Zoom' written to the right. Pushing the 'up' arrow You will zoom away the object and eliminate cutting of closer parts (perhaps). - personally I've got used to play with Zstart and Zmid parameters (top right of the main win), though Jesse says it is not right and one shouldn't play with them... It's my sin, by I've got addicted to it somehow, since rather often face the same problem and other methods not always help. hth with best regards, Sfumato. P. S. Be sure that 'Cutting' isn't checked in main window. |
