Title: Greetings to all you Fractal Folks from Connecticut
Post by: wmauzey on July 18, 2011, 12:33:47 AM
Hi Everyone,
Had to get my feet wet joining this Forum before saying any thing prior to this, my first! So far it has
really fired my imagination about the possibilities of all the ways of creating fractals.
Have been using Fractint since 1990, tried James Gleick's "Chaos" in 1991 but didn't get along with the
program. Benoit's & Barnsley's books made me wish I took more math and programming in school, was just
a foreign language but the discriptions and photos kept me going. Always tried to do the 3d landscapes
with a moon in sky with Fractint, posted one in DeviantArt gallery, you can see it if you click on the signature
at the bottom of this posting topic page. (Something I learned while crusading around the forum).
What used to take 3 hrs on my IBM PS2/30 now takes 45 secs on the Android Fractoid App, nice for the
addict to fractals, when away from home computer, hint, hint !!!
Again Greetings to all and thanks for letting me be part of this Community!
