Title: updated formulas Post by: DarkBeam on July 14, 2011, 01:32:42 PM Sorry, can't update my topic :(
Title: Re: updated formulas Post by: DarkBeam on July 17, 2011, 05:40:50 PM I updated again the formulas - this time in my sticky topic :D Hope it's okay.
I hope somebody enjoys the new stuff! :police: ^-^ ^-^ There are so many new things to try this time :D Title: Re: updated formulas Post by: Jesse on July 23, 2011, 12:28:45 AM Thx, great work!
If i caught you here, i want to inform you of a new formula option available since 1.7.3: with .Version = 6 you can add the .ADEscale option to adjust the DE for analytic formulas, in most Boxmods you have to set it to 0.5 and you should use the .DEoption = 2 like in the common IFS formulas. The .DEoption = 11 is to much specialized for the original ABox folding.   Title: Re: updated formulas Post by: DarkBeam on July 23, 2011, 12:00:29 PM Why do I need to do so? The computations are actually very fast with the old method :)
Title: Re: updated formulas Post by: Jesse on July 23, 2011, 01:15:20 PM Why do I need to do so? The computations are actually very fast with the old method :) If you got 2 times higher distance estimates, for example as it is yet with some box variations, then you step nearly twice as fast, of course! But this not the goal in programming fast formulas because you overstep and you need to decrease the raystep multiplier to not overstep, so this is not an advantage. Its just making the DE as good as possible, involving that the DEstop value works for all formulas in the same way... :dink: |
