It was just a joke, but also to make the point that if an appropriate looped film is made - say of a part of a second level sierpinski triangle drawn on paper being converted into a 3rd level sierpinski triangle - then the illusion of hand-drawing an infinite fractal can be achieved - in this case by then zooming the camera view so that the corner of the 3rd level Sierpinski looks exactly the same as the start point i.e. the second level Sierpinski - then just loop it ;)
