Title: Dancing Brot (Created with own software)

This is a test-rendering of a varied Mandelbrot I've done with the alpha-version of a program I've started to develop over the last 3 days in C++.

The program uses fourier-transformation on 25(=fps) chunks of an audio-file per second to receive information on how strong the frequency-bands are at this audio-position and then renders frames in relation to that information via a plugin system.

Till now there is only a generic fractal-set-plugin to render Mandelbrot-like fractal-set's, where you can specify the formulas at runtime. The programm supports multithreaded rendering and has a graphical user interface to choose plugins, set parameters, test the plugin and graphically interact with the plugin (for example select an area of the Mandelbrot-Test-Render to give it new boundaries).

The programm is only tested on Ubuntu Linux 11.04 and runs with packages provided by the Ubuntu-11.04-Repository.

More plugins & features are planned, specially a particle-engine and in future a plugin for 3D-fractals, if I find time to learn how to use OpenCL.

cool fillings, like the "not-so-round" circles ... great style!

Thanks, I've achieved the fillings through replacing the default mandelbrot bailout with: tan(sin(zRe) + cos(zIm))*zRe > 4

Stefan love how you put, 'created with own software' in brackets - really admire your skills.

Thank you, but my name is actually Hannes ;)
Just signed there with some crap name to test the platform, don't like it if google delivers too much information for my actual rl name ;).
Since youtube keeps the rights on your videos even after you've deleted them (Terms of use), I've been looking for a free alternative with good quality and fair rights,
but since now I've found nothing that has all 3 points. Vimeo and Exposureroom have nice rights (they only get the temporary rights to convert the video, present the video on their page, ... and if you delete the video, they loose them again) but Vimeo is too restricted in it's free version, too expensive in it's commercial version and ExposureRoom has crappy quality.
Maybe I'll just rent a little Webspace and create my own Page to which I'll link here.
