Title: Mandelbulber 1.03: An observation Post by: mcc on June 11, 2011, 10:43:00 PM Hi,
Using mandelbulber 1.03 on Linux: when adding an additional light to a scene it does not make any difference whether the intensity of the light is set to 0.001, 0.1 or to 1 - the light is too brigth in any case. If interested I will post the presets for that here. Best regards, mcc Title: Re: Mandelbulber 1.03: An observation Post by: taurus on June 14, 2011, 09:12:03 AM Quote it does not make any difference whether the intensity of the light is set to 0.001, 0.1 or to 1 the range you seem to use might be too narrow. don't hesitate to try an intensity of 1 e-12 or lower, when you are close to fractal surface. regards taurus Title: Re: Mandelbulber 1.03: An observation Post by: Buddhi on June 14, 2011, 06:30:47 PM Quote it does not make any difference whether the intensity of the light is set to 0.001, 0.1 or to 1 the range you seem to use might be too narrow. don't hesitate to try an intensity of 1 e-12 or lower, when you are close to fractal surface. regards taurus I completely agree with this. Please remember that light intensity is inversely proportional to the distance. So that's why it is needed to reduce (or increase) light power dramatically. Thanks a lot! Best regards, mcc |
