Title: Navigating through the Fractal
Post by: arisia on June 06, 2011, 05:36:56 PM
Hi there,

Despite reading as much as I can find on navigating within Mandelbulb3d, I still don't be able to figure out how to move the camera itself through the 3d fractal. i can zoom in and move to left and right, up and down etc but how do I move the camera forward or the fractal backwards ? For example say I wanted to do an animation that flies through an amazing box , how do you achieve that ?

Sorry if this is a stupid question but it's bugging me ! Any help appreciated.

Cheers
Rob

The easiest way to do that is using the 3D Navigator and use the "walking" buttons. If there seems little movement, you may need use "fixed zoom and steps", but don't forget to switch it of in time, or you will walk past the fractal.
