Title: Autosaving .fract files
Post by: Xenos on May 06, 2011, 12:28:06 AM
Hi there, me again.

I'd very much like an option to autosave settings file, autosaving images isn't quite enough.

The issue, you see, is my little brother - he's heavily disabled after a stroke, but able to create quite nice things through mandelbulber - but my job as his "technical assistant" would be made much easier if the pretty pictures he makes comes with .fract files for me to more easily find them again and put them into video timelines after the fact. :-)

Oh, here's his first video:  http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=rMa5r8uojrU (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=rMa5r8uojrU)

Also, I'd like this option for myself, as sometimes I feel like hitting myself after realizing I forgot save the settings :-)

PS: Any chance you could do a small tutorial on how you got those nice little balls of light hovering in your competition video? I'd really like to know :-)

There is something like autosave function for settigs. UNDO function works like this. Even you close the program you can still use undo button to recover missed settings. It stores 100 last settings.

If I find some free time I will do tutorials for some images. Now you can use user guide from Mandelbulber website http://sites.google.com/site/mandelbulber/home
