Title: curious little toy Post by: lycium on August 01, 2007, 07:29:10 AM here's something i made while working on a university assignment: http://www.fractographer.com/cos340/funky.exe
there is an annoying camera flip because the spherical co-ordinates used to position it can cause the viewing and world up direction to become parallel, but it's kinda fun to play with, especially full screen. Title: Re: curious little toy Post by: cKleinhuis on August 03, 2007, 08:44:42 PM indeed cool, can i do more than just move the camera?
if you keep the mouse in a steady movement, it seems like watching a clockwork ... :o Title: Re: curious little toy Post by: lycium on August 04, 2007, 04:42:29 AM nope, it's just a really quick hack and the cam motion is a bit sux :| i guess i can make a version that continually rotates (maybe interpolates through random points on the sphere) if anyone wants it :)

Title: Re: curious little toy Post by: Sockratease on August 06, 2007, 11:33:09 AM I got the same error!
I found this: http://www.dll-files.com/dllindex/dll-files.shtml?glut32 But have not done anything with it yet! I guess I'm lazy about things like that... Title: Re: curious little toy Post by: cKleinhuis on August 06, 2007, 04:23:01 PM either put it in windows/system32 folder, or copy it just to the location of the .exe file!
Title: Re: curious little toy Post by: Sockratease on August 08, 2007, 12:01:56 PM OK, got it working.
This is a great idea and could be adapted to Lots of interactive Thingies. Well done! Title: Re: curious little toy Post by: lycium on August 08, 2007, 01:57:07 PM thanks :) i've just updated the zip to include the dll, no more problems there i hope! |
