What is new in version 1.6.9.7:
  -  Solved some navigator issues, scaling of zoom when option 'fixed zoom
     and steps' is turned on.
  -  Dithering option for the DEAO ambient shadow function to get less spot
     artifacts with an image scaling of 1:2 and 1:3.
  -  Lighting option 'I2' to compute the intern light summings with respect
     for a gamma of 2.
  -  Formulas that changes the 'C' constant are now working in julia mode.
  -  Hard shadow corrected for DEstop variation with Z distance.
  -  Julia values can be received by clicking on the image.
  -  Formulas updated.

It's strange that when I choose a Julia seed by clicking it don't enable automatically Julia mode but anyways GREAT JOB. :D

Hey, i am getting older, takes always twice the time   :D

me thinks - the Navigator got broken with this update...
I tested it on some recent images I made with the last version of Mandelbulb-3d...
and I noticed that in several of them...
* I can no longer zoom around... seems like I'm hitting a wall...
* or nothing shows at all... upon just trying to make a move in something I have no problems
moving around in - in the last version...

I don't tend to enable "fixed zoom & steps"....
Could you look into this issue... and test it with some of your images...

The Nav has always been a bit twitchy at times in some locations but you get used to it and compensate. I tried a few older params and it works ok for me, the FarPlane changes drastically on some allowing Fog to overrun things in some but just adjust it and all is well. I've gotten use to getting use to the quirks from version to version, as far as julia seeding by point and click just enable Julia first, seems reasonable to me. Thanks Jesse, another great update

Fog swamping! YES! noticed that issue too with the new update version...
(while trying to navigate images I very recently made!)
What to do?

Can you please post one or more parameters so i can see the problem?
Some formulas with bad DE's will ever make problems on the normal navi settings, so you have to enable the fixed option, that makes it very easy now.
Like lenord said, increase the farplane value to get rid of the fog.

If you still see nothing and the zoom is increasing to very large values, you have to use the fixed option and manually set the zoom.

I did not noticed that something got worse in the new version, not on the parameters i tested.

Now i got the issue, it appears only in julia mode!
