Yippy! so attaching .fract files works.
Since most users go to the Gallery to checkout the latest posts, how to I get from viewing that image to that posters Topic view
I can't see an Icon link that will take me there directly.

You can make a thread in the "Rate my Fractal" section first, and then link to it in the gallery post.

And actually, most users don't look at the gallery first, they go to the "View Most Recent Posts" page  (link at the bottom of the home page, just below the list of recent posts.  That way they see every post in one place.  Many just bookmark that page and don't often see the home page!

holly hanna! I will need to get a Ph.D in how to operate this forum software soon.   :dink:

"View Most Recent Posts" list is only good for those that logon every day, otherwise you have to go hunting to see if anyone responded to an issue. That's why I look at the Gallery for posts, that may have scrolled off Most Recent Posts list.

Most recent posts is 10 pages long and usually holds several days worth of stuff.  You wont find forum posts in the gallery, so I'm not sure what you mean by looking there for posts that may have scrolled off the list.  Gallery posts can appear in the recent posts list, but not all categories are set to make forum topics.

The forum and gallery are separate parts of the site.  Are you referring to gallery comments when you say "posts" - if so, those never appear in the forum.  But you can get an email alert to such comments if you set your preferences to do so.

Hope that helps.

Edit - Are you just looking at the little box with only a few posts listed?  Try the link beneath the box, it leads here:  http://www.fractalforums.com/index.php?action=recent
