I love your Apophysis work. I've recently started trying Apophysis 7x, but I rely on the mutation tool and would love to learn how to control the parameters more directly. If you've got any advice, I'd love to hear it. Beautiful work!!!

I've recently started trying Apophysis 7x, but I rely on the mutation tool and would love to learn how to control the parameters more directly. If you've got any advice, I'd love to hear it. Beautiful work!!! Yeah, a comment. So Apo is a really fun program, I actually never use the mutation tool, its to unpredictable for me at least. Its not necesary to have a lot of triangles in the transform editor to pull out a nice fractal, the Apophysis7x-100714-11 image that i have there has just have three triangles and an x-final. Mmm... i dont really know what to say, a good way to have control is to know what effect does each variation, and put the mayor weight (in the option weigth) on the triangle that have the main variation. Something like that. And gradients really change the structure of your fractal. Sorry for not explain very well, I speak spanish lol. I have an easy parameter that may help you. <flame name="Apophysis7x-100714-11" version="Apophysis 7x Version 14" size="535 741" center="0.126102962564091 -0.109096319177106" scale="144.33" angle="-2.31814631249887" rotate="132.82" oversample="1" filter="0.5" quality="50" background="0 0 0" brightness="7.27826086956522" gamma="3.08" gamma_threshold="0.0748837209302326" estimator_radius="9" estimator_minimum="0" estimator_curve="0.4" enable_de="0"> <xform weight="15" color="0.455" symmetry="0.95" spherical="3" eyefish="0.24" coefs="-0.107816 -0.04444 0.04444 -0.107816 -0.300593 -0.862336" opacity="1" /> <xform weight="0.15" color="0.506" bubble="0.491" pre_blur="10" rectangles="1" coefs="1 0 0 1 -0.708125 0.332408" rectangles_x="30" rectangles_y="10" opacity="1" /> <xform weight="0.1" color="0.857" symmetry="0.399" bubble="0.25" gaussian_blur="0.133" lazysusan="0.01" coefs="0.988084 0.153924 -0.153924 0.988083 0.37745 0.112754" lazysusan_spin="3.14159" lazysusan_space="0" lazysusan_twist="0" lazysusan_x="0" lazysusan_y="0" opacity="1" /> <finalxform color="0" symmetry="1" julia3Dz="1" coefs="-0.276453 -0.43306 0.540517 -0.20744 -0.383125 -1.79671" post="-0.675026 -0.737793 0.737793 -0.675026 -0.012255 0.012255" julia3Dz_power="-2" /> <palette count="256" format="RGB"> 383A343A3833463E3F53454B5E47536A4A5B965275975675 995A759455729050708D496C8B43697B3A595F2F452A2221 1E1D1A1319130E16100A140D0B150D0C170E1524131A2E1B 1F392327412B304934374B3A3E4E405850537258679D6892 A6749DB081A8B285AAB48AACB290B0A98DAE8E8899758385 5C7E714C6C5D3C5B49395343374C3D3340332E372E252924 25282126281F25271F2427202127221E23241E24231D2926 1D2F2A1E322D1F3530213B32263F312A41302A483531583F 355D3F3A633F3A67413A6B443E754D45835B4E976F4D9A74 4D9E794E9E794F9E7A4F9B724E926A4A8B5D458151406D39 3D68343B6330395E27395D243F612849692F4F7C4A508455 518C60548D61578E63578E65598E665792645495614C8751 4A804C487A484971404A6E3B4C6F374A6E34435F2E3E552D 3A4B2C38482B36452A313C262E3721292F1E26281D2B2021 3220243A212850223366233B6B253A692A3870453D7A4D44 84554B8F5E4E8E66558B6C5E8C746B998285AF8998CC89BA D483BEDC7EC3E877CDED6DC9DF66BCC95EAA9B487993416D 8B3B6270324B562B383B2525252119272C182A35172B3917 31441A2A3C1831471E3955263D5E2942682D345429304F28 2D4B28274126223B221F34201A301E182B1C17291F192B25 1E322F233E3B294C463360543E736748877C51998E679C9D 7F9FA9979DB6AD9BC4B39ECBC595D1D98BD1EB7DD2FA73D6 F773D5E876CBDD7BBBD180A9C48097B8808CA07D7A8A7969 78795869774860723F566A35495D2F3E522C34492C2C412B 273C272337201F321A1B3017182C16162816172813192813 1D2F12203614223A19243C1B243B1F243D202740222A4323 2E45253244283C432D4E493D6850507C59627D6670796B75 76717E7B778A88799782829E708499597E8A44787B396160 3356542D4B49283F3D24343223302D222D2821231B20201A 1F1E19211F18232118252717272D1727301828331A2A3720 2B3A232D3E2635482B3D52303F5636425B3C4A6B514E6F52 527353527053526E53506B534E6853455C4D3F5244363C35 </palette> </flame> And thanks ofr the coment ^^ Title: Re: My fractals Post by: Erisian on March 18, 2011, 10:31:27 PM Thanks for that. Your English is fine and you explained it well. I'll take those parameters home to study and see what I can come up with. Have fun!

Everytime that I get a good image with it it looks like a mess of lines rather than a fractal. When I follow tutorials I get the same images that I see everyday in Deviantart and I am tired of that... So I abandoned it :( Title: Re: My fractals Post by: Erisian on March 18, 2011, 11:10:50 PM I agree it's difficult to get anything amazing, but you can see from these examples that when you do it properly, the effect is pretty incredible! |
