Title: How are parameters handled in animation? Post by: Side B on March 17, 2011, 11:52:24 PM Ok, so I'm starting to look at myself as a novice in Mandelbulber now...
So I'm at Lvl 1 now instead of being absolutely clueless :embarrass: I'm sorry if this is documented somewhere already, I haven't been able to find it :sad1: I noticed that not all parameters will change between keyframes (this might just be because I'm using 0.85 though) So I'm wondering, which parameters can I expect to work (or not work if they are fewer) in Keyframe Animation? I noticed (or rather, I am under the impression) that these parameters can not progress between keyframes: Fractal: Maximum number of iterations Shaders: Offset Colors (Glow color 1, 2 | BG color 1, 2) Post effects: Screen Space Ambient Occlusion, Quality I was also wondering (Sorry, but it's about 0.85 again :-\) Which parameters specifically are controllable by sound? And last... I'm getting very bright (or very dark) scarce pixels. I've tried alot to fix it, most focus on DE Step Factor. But I'm thinking I'm not on the right track :hmh: Here's an example (look at all the white pixels): (http://www.alarian.se/fractals/image00769.png) Title: Re: How are parameters handled in animation? I canīt help you with "animations", Iīm not that far yet. But concerning the white pixels you see on your image my best guess is that those are reflections of light, very small and precise ones. Have you tried going into the shaders tab and just turning of "specularity" and/or "reflect" Hope that was of help, Title: Re: How are parameters handled in animation? But I'm thinking I'm not on the right track :hmh: Generally it is possible to animate of almost all floating point parameters but not integer. Because "Maximum number of iterations" and colours are integer numbers there is no way to smooth change of these parameters. But I can't see any reason to change maximum number of iterations during the animation because higher priority has Distance Threshold (controlled by "Detail level" parameter"). About atached image it is dificult to say what is wrong. Please send me parameters file and then I will tell you what causes "very bright (or very dark) scarce pixels" |
