Title: Re: Jewelbox Post by: G on March 02, 2011, 10:44:44 PM This is pretty amazing. Can you tell me what formula you used to get this? I've been trying to get something like this, but haven't been successful so far.

@G, looks like it's based on the infamous parameters originally found by Theli-at I think : -1 scale Amazing box with around 10 iterations, 0 Min R and around 0.95 Fold, followed by Folding Int Pow (can't remember which values) in Julia mode with X=2. Experts will confirm ;) EDIT: Maybe these params were found by HalTenny. In any case, he's done this wonderful tutorial: http://haltenny.deviantart.com/art/Mandelbulb-3D-Tutorial-2-192449982 Title: Re: Jewelbox Post by: divee on March 03, 2011, 02:44:09 AM Very nice video. Those were indeed parameters from Hal Tenny which I tweeked. The exact settings were lost unfortunately when I installed the newest version of mandelbulb. I increased the Z-end a lot so nothing was cut in the depth.@G, looks like it's based on the infamous parameters originally found by Theli-at I think : -1 scale Amazing box with around 10 iterations, 0 Min R and around 0.95 Fold, followed by Folding Int Pow (can't remember which values) in Julia mode with X=2. Love those boiler-like fractal-forms. Nice effect in the middle of the video. Flying through the bubbles looks like they're bursting :D Title: Re: Jewelbox Post by: divee on March 06, 2011, 11:21:12 PM Great video! Thank you!Love those boiler-like fractal-forms.
