Title: hello from germany
Post by: Andrea on January 11, 2011, 03:34:47 PM
hello together,

many greetings from germany.
nice forum. i am interested in 3d fractals like mandelbulb. If i understand how i calculate the normal vectors (inconstancy in mandelbulbs?) then i try a little program in c/c++ without gui and easy illumination ( perhaps phong shading). in past i programmed a 2d mandelbrot group with distance estimation ( does the formula work for 3d? ) like in the book "the science of fractal images" from peitgen & richter.

cheers
Andrea
