Title: Does this correspond to a "known" 4D form ?
Post by: David Makin on December 29, 2010, 02:59:38 AM
Consider e^(x + i*y + j*z + k*w) as e^(x+i*y)*(cos(z+i*w)+I*sin(z+i*w))
Such that the complex result of e^(x+i*y)*sin(z+i*w) is converted from producing (a+i*b) to being (a*j+b*k) by the modifier I.

Just thought of it - not sure it matches any existing 4D format ?

Guess I should have been more specific to get a reply :)

Is the formula simply a way of expressing the standard hypercomplex (also known as bicomplex) form ?
