Title: Hello, Ladies and Gentlemen: Post by: Lueb on December 24, 2010, 05:44:13 PM Hello all, I am mostly a ZBrush artist who has considered lately the value of adding some fractal objects to my recipes of compositions. My question would be: if I mostly want to generate some simple 3D objects for export to a program in the form of ".obj" files mostly, what would be a good suggestion for that program?
It doesn't have to have all the bells and whistles, as I am an artist, not a mathmatician. I am humbled by the intellectual genius found by those on this forum, and respect their talents, but I am more of an instinctive thinker and artist where formulas occur in my head and I have no other way to translate them than by way or art. I want to take some fractal objects and do "artistic" interpretations. Thanks! Title: Re: Hello, Ladies and Gentlemen: Post by: Madman on December 24, 2010, 05:58:58 PM Hi Lueb, welcome to the forum! You can find something on 3D meshes in the 3D fractal generation board. It's not a common possibility in most fractal programs, since most use ray tracing techniques (and that seems to be incompatible with the creation of meshes if I understand correctly). I think Incendia can export 3D meshes, so that might be worth a try.
