Suddenly a star fell from the sky and ignited the tree. The sheep fled into the shed and stumbled across a wise man who was travelling on an ox. The prophet looked into the fire and saw the tree was not consumed. Instead, baubles floated from the fire and drifted to sea, where the waves parted. A carpenter crossed the seabed with a wicker basket. She was carrying a child in a sling. This is what really happened… |
