Title: Wut's good~ Post by: Bluesummers89 on December 11, 2010, 05:57:25 PM So here's the deal, I was introduced to the fractals on DeviantArt after which I was captivated by it's simplistic and yet infinite beauty. After which I was sucked into the apophysis community and is which where I learned of the late, grate, Benoît B. Mandelbrot. He truly is a mathematical in the fields of fractal geometry. But then...I went away for like 3 years. But now I want to rejoin the fractal community and with newer programs such as mandelebulb3D, it seams fitting that I rejoin the community at such a time. Anyways, I hope to make new friends and learn new things here.

But, I had recently seen some pics of a 3D mandelbulb (I think on Digg), and immediately tried to find software to make them. I used Mandelbulber first, which is capable of some really great stuff. But, then I found Mandelbulb 3D and there's no turning back now! I'm addicted... I like the interface a lot, and Jesse seems to update that thing every few weeks and its always better!

Just have a look in the downloads section: http://www.fractalforums.com/index.php?action=downloads (http://www.fractalforums.com/index.php?action=downloads) and select M3D version 1.67. Play around with it, get hooked like the rest of us and if you have any questions, just ask around here on FF andf you'll get your answer! There are already many tricks and tips available on the forum, so don't forget to search there first. Good luck! |
