But the tree looked great.  Very smooth animation.

I LOVE The New Features!!

I can't show my first animations...  Lissa would KILL me!!  I distorted Her Image far too much for my own safety and may have to delete the files!

I'll animate some nice safe Chaoscope images next!

i like te frst ani and one tip for getting rid of that line in the left part of the image, just move the view one pixel to somewhere,
it is pure imaginary potentiation - have not found how to fix it other way


but, you can do me a favour, i would appreciate that you mention the name mutatorkammer in any of your productions
in the description text e.g. so that more and more people come attracted to my program, because if  do not get FAR MORE
users development will cease ... ;(

I'm surprised others don't find the animation to be the best part of your program!

Any advice on compiling? I use VirtualDub with the PicVideo M JPEG 3 codec (comes with the program) - But the avi files are still HUGE.  Converting to wmv at that point loses quality, and the further conversion to flv for hosting is just depressing!

That IS a clear animation in avi format at way too many megabytes!!

If you know of a better way to compile these images I would be grateful to know it as well.

simply use divx, they are bugging with some registration forms, but there is a fre version of that codec available,
all the videos on fractalmovies.com are coded with divx since divx3, i am not aware of the current codec market,
but give it a try ;D

at http://x264.nl/ you'll find some mirrors for ffdshow; that has a pretty good mpeg4 encoder (free, no hassles, handles many advanced codecs like h.264). it's quite fast now, supports multicore encoding, and if you're brave enough to look through the mpeg4 options and enable b-frames you'll:

1. get a very efficient bitstream (this helps a lot at higher resolutions)
2. alienate mac users ^_^

(i'm guessing reason 2 is why they leave it off by default)

but anyway, once you're comfortable with avi/xvid, you might like to investigate someothercontainerformat/x264, for which you'll find tools on the aforementioned page. don't bother with lower resolution (say < 480x360) video though, it's a whole new set of programs...

btw, that's mpeg4 standard, so divx should play it as well.

Actually, I did save the formula, but not the workspace.

Something weird happened because the formula has the entire animation sequence in it, and when I try to open the last frame in a new window (any one of a number of ways) I get the first frame again, and with the full animation intact!!

I can't isolate the last frame to continue.

But I tried this trick to get a 2,000 frame animation and here's the result:

It worked!

Too bad I messed up the second dive

BUT...

I got the same problem when trying to continue from the last frame in the second part.

It saved the entire sequence again!

I think that "Clear Animation" button is needed (such that it keeps the current image without reverting to the first frame).

I may have to send you some of these formulas so you can see what the files look like...  I admit my ignorance of the inner workings of these things!

this is a serious flaw in the program, and will get updated very soon ! 8)

The Image feature of this program is Absolutely Wonderful!
