I rendered a split screen fractal zoom to show the difference.

Nice comparison! Though a lossless compression video would be a little clearer.

Obviously, the bottom version is closer to what one would expect from a hypothetical 50000 x 50000 resolution monitor from the future. Sometimes though, I sharpen anti-aliased images to get them a little closer still.

i think the video compression was washing out only the aa-part because it has lower contrasts,
in general aa should be nicer.

i think that a lot of the detail gained by anti aliasing is then lost after the web compression  :angry:
