Open source program (GNU GPL) for rendering photo-realistic 3D fractals Free download: http://sourceforge.net/projects/mandelbulber/ New features in version 0.95: - added many new options for Mandelbox formula (rotations of folding planes) examples: http://krzysztofmarczak.deviantart.com/art/Mandelbox-add-rotatations-2-182964101 http://krzysztofmarczak.deviantart.com/art/Mandelbox-add-rotatations-4-182990165 (please try example settings files "rotated Mandelbox... .fract") - improved coloring algorithm for Mandelbox formula (additional parameters) - added zoom out by right mouse button - needless buttons and edit fields are dinamically disabled - fixed bug: removed "record keyframe" button form animation tab, which caused program crash - fixed bug: adding new keyframs during timeline initializadion causes program crash - now it's blocked during timeline initialization - fixed bug: program generated many errors during program closing - applied patch proposed by jwm-art (http://www.fractalforums.com/mandelbulber/mandelbulber-0-94/msg23134/#msg23134) Before first run please use install script SVN repository: http://mandelbulber.googlecode.com/svn/trunk/ This repository is available from Google Code: http://code.google.com/p/mandelbulber/ My gallery with images created using Mandelbulber: http://krzysztofmarczak.deviantart.com/gallery/ Title: Re: Mandelbulber 0.95 Post by: bib on November 01, 2010, 11:01:53 PM My gallery with images created using Mandelbulber: http://krzysztofmarczak.deviantart.com/gallery/ Totally mindblowing and so inspiring. Title: Re: Mandelbulber 0.95 Post by: nameinuse2 on November 06, 2010, 11:46:26 PM Awesome work Buddhi. It seems like just as bib's "Rotated negative Mandelbox" video showed up, I was thinking "gee, that'd be a nice feature to have in Mandelbulber..." and then Bang! There it is!. You are literally pumping out new versions faster than I can render things with the old versions :D I'm still having a few crashes and bailouts in both Windows and Linux (32bit). Usually when playing around with the timeline. One had a nice GTK error with a stack trace, but I was too keen to keep playing. Next time I capture one in the wild I'll note the details. Anyway, Krzysztof you rock! Loving the new rotation options. |
