Title: Mandelbox animation
Post by: Persistent_Aura on October 31, 2010, 11:27:27 PM
One of my first animations with mandelbulb3D. Quality is not great but reasonable. rendering time was 57h

Tell me what you think  :dink:

That was pretty cool!!  It felt like an infinite futuristic floating city.  BTW, are you going to re-do the animation showing the mall decorated for Christmas?  LOL

Thank you Rev :) It does indeed feel like some futuristic city. I've been working on an image made with fractals from the same parameters to make a nice view of a futuristic city with huge skyscrapers.

Here's an unfinished example

Very nice!  I loved both the animation, and the image.  Question: Do you plan to do an animated fly-through of the city shown in the image?

TY Rob,

A fly through of the city in the picture is not possible I'm afraid. I made it combining pieces of different renders together and giving it a background etc in photoshop (just learning how to use that so it could be done better). Though it might be possible to find something similar in one fractal. I'm planning to put some more buildings and skyscrapers in the background too.

Nice space, nice shapes, great steady camera.
