Title: Greetings to everyone from France ! Post by: zongo on October 30, 2010, 08:43:35 PM Hi everyone !
I signed in 3 weeks ago but I still didn't introduce myself. I'm always afraid to do so because my English isn't very good... I used to play with fractals since Fractint in the late 90's. Sadly I'm not a math guy so I couldn't have a lot of fun with this program. Then later I discovered UltraFractal ; at least I could produce complex multilayer imaging, I remember how I was amazed when I first bought this software ! Fall 2007 I had a HDD crash and I lost most of my UF work. This taught me a big lesson about backups, but at that time I was quite disgusted and loose my interest for fractals/computer things for a while. Anyway, last year I discovered this whole 3D fractal discovery in the medias, then a couple months ago I saw Subblue's pixel bender pluging while surfing randomly on the web. That was my first introduction to Mandelbulb. I finally found my way to FractalForums and downloaded Mandelbulber and Mandelbulb3D. I'm still amazed a month later (I have to say I'm more comfortable with Mandelbulb3D). This awesome little programs is running 24/7 non stop on my computer :) I have a Deviant Art gallery where I used to post my UltraFractal stuff. I didn't log in for 3 years but I am currently updating my gallery with new renders, mostly full HD images. Here's the link : http://zzzzra.deviantart.com/ Thanks to all the great people posting here about 3D fractaling I was able to understand how to create those images. I'm having a lot of fun with Mandelbulb3D and would also like to thanks its creator ! Title: Re: Greetings to everyone from France ! Post by: bib on October 30, 2010, 08:52:05 PM Hi zongo!
A warm welcome to the Forums. I'm also from France ;) Some lovely pictures in your DA gallery. Please post them in the fractalforums gallery as well. I know, there's a size limit, but there is no reason why DA should have the exclusivity of such beautiful work ;) Title: Re: Greetings to everyone from France ! I'm going to post those images here too but there will be a lot of compression due to the 500Ko limit. Actually I don't know if I should compress a lot the 1920*1080 images or just reduce their size a bit. Title: Re: Greetings to everyone from France ! Post by: bib on October 30, 2010, 09:18:03 PM You will have to reduce size as the limit is currently 1200x1200
