Title: Greetings to fellow Fractal adventurers! Post by: reddev on October 26, 2010, 01:05:01 PM Greetings to all mind-bugging adventurers! I've studied :hmh:, amazed :o and created :alien: fractals from a 15 yr old kid in several languages. Now in my thirties I came back to this area by this Java tutorial fractal project that I'd like to hear comments from.
My fractal project pages are here http://code.google.com/p/gaima/wiki/VLFImages Here's a few images from my project Small: http://gaima.googlecode.com/svn/trunk/gaima/Fractal%20images/Fractal%20Mandelbrot%20in%20black%20lagoon_1288085660422.jpg http://gaima.googlecode.com/svn/trunk/gaima/Fractal%20images/Small%20Mandelbrot%20TAN%201287782409209.jpg Large (REMEMBER TO ZOOM IN with image viewer): http://gaima.googlecode.com/svn/trunk/gaima/Fractal%20images/Fractal%20Waves2_1287772143001.jpg http://gaima.googlecode.com/svn/trunk/gaima/Fractal%20images/Fractal%20eclipse%202.jpg The main project (currently freezed) is a 3d platform that uses neural network for object movement. The side project VLFImages is in the same code repository. The main project in located here http://code.google.com/p/gaima/ Title: Re: Greetings fellow Fractalers and beyond! Post by: Sockratease on October 26, 2010, 01:15:45 PM Hello and welcome to the forums.
I think I'm ready to put my coding and programming days behind me. I'm enjoying just making Art too much! O0 But there are many programmers here who will likely enjoy looking at your project. Welcome to the forums. I have a similar background == same age. My programming skills are limited to 2d mandelbrot plotting using C. I've never found a good enough reason to work out why the Java installation isn't working properly :-D 21mb is a large JPEG - i'm waiting for it to download, it's taking it's time... James. Or with linux Ubuntu installation just type sudo apt-get install sun-java6-jdk and you're reade to launch java programs. But feel free to browse the code and comment.. Thanks to Google for the bandwidth... the 21mb file downloads quite quickly. |
