Title: Brummbaer
Post by: Brummbaer on October 26, 2010, 12:57:27 AM
I'm so new to forums, etc... that I have to apologize for any mistake ahead of time.
When I discovered Mandelbulb two weeks ago I realized I hadn't had that much fun since I got DPaint on the Amiga. Now you know that I'm at least a hundred years old! Then we still moved the bits with a wheelbarrow and a shovel...
Anyway, there is more about me to know -- check:https://sites.google.com/site/brummbaerontralfamadore/ (https://sites.google.com/site/brummbaerontralfamadore/)
And I put up a YouTube avi in memoriam Benoit Mandelbrot at:http://www.youtube.com/user/Brummbaer45?feature=mhum#p/a/u/0/1pKx5bvStow (http://www.youtube.com/user/Brummbaer45?feature=mhum#p/a/u/0/1pKx5bvStow)
As soon as I have time to study this site a little more I probably will have a few questions -- for example: How do I get rid of the pulsating, wavelike noise that seems to attach itself to objects? (In Mandelbulb 3D)
I also would love to send compliments to the programmers of the fractal programs that are free to download -- even attempts at manuals are being made... all this for the love of fractals. I'm so impressed. Seriously!
Greetings Brummbaer

Hello and welcome to the forums!

I'll have a look at your links later, kinda busy now :(

The video was short and sweet though   O0

Did you know that if you just post a link to the video itself, instead of the version on your "home page" it will play right here on the forum?

If you didn't want that - just say something and I'll edit it out.

Meanwhile, enjoy the forum  :evil1:

Hi there, and welcome Brummbaer!
I'm about 200 years old, cos' I used to use a Commodore 64 way back when!! :dink:

Really liked your vid, and as Thunderwave said, I wish it was longer!
Btw, what's the music, is it available for download?

Hey Brummbaer,
We already started to chat on Youtube, so welcome here!
Maybe I'm 300 years old, as I was using the plot instruction on the Apple ][ :)

I feel like a kid around such 'young' people.  I do remember the Commodore 64 though.  I grew up with an Atari 800 XL.  I loved those little games like jungle hunt and joust.  I also programmed games with it.  I made a maze with an invisible monster and some text based games like Zork.  Oh how I loved Zork.

Thanks everybody for your kind welcome.
I will try and make longer avis -- I promise --
I just have downloaded Mandelbulb two weeks ago and my computers are working around the clock.
A new one is right here and first had the name "The Intricacies of the Mechanoid Eyeballs"...
