hello, has anyone a description on how to realize heightmap rendering within ultrafractal ?

i want to plain extrude the mandelbrot shape

To the best of my knowledge, there is no formula or coloring algorithm in the public database that does height fields.

I'm working on one right now, but it may be a while before it gets published, if ever..

I have a coloring formula called Mesh Raytracing which has been in the public database for quite a while. The public version creates heightfields for a number of smooth iteration options and also for orbit traps. The fractal formulas are plug ins and there are a large number of them available. I have a gallery and a tutorial on my website if you want to see some examples.

I am working on an upgraded version which also includes distance estimate estimate and potential heightfields. I am currently doing a render on distance estimate heightfield which is a 4000x zoom into the Mandelbrot set.
