I would like to commission a piece of art which I would turn into a tattoo. I have, for years, wanted a fractal as a tattoo (as my tattoo collection currently is a literal playground of other math ideas such as the golden mean, infinity, and various equations). I would like to work in a couple dates, so to speak, into the formula for the fractal to commemorate some important life events. Dates: 5/21/79, 11/12/86, 8/27/10. I leave it to the artist how theses are incorporated (as long as an explanation, however simple, is provided). I would like symmetry in the fractal left to right as it will tattoo more easily. The tattoo would be on my lower leg, probably starting around my foot and wrapping to my ankle, or on my calf. I like pea green, grey, ash blue, etc... Hope this helps :) Thank you for your interest! Greetings, and Welcome to this particular Forum !!! :) It would be helpful if you had a few examples of fractal artwork that you liked and that might be similar to what you have in mind. I am sure there has to be a few links around the web that would represent something close to what you would like. Have you seen some of the tattoos that others have gotten?? A quick Google search using both of the words "Fractal" and "Tattoo" will show many interesting ideas. I can guess. It is very hard to do a proper Fractal as a tattoo, but that one really does look good. Of course I just got done watching season 2 of "Ink Master" - and the first 3 episodes of season 3 too while I was at it.
