Title: Fractal on other plateform (fpga, dsp, ...)
Post by: ker2x on August 23, 2010, 07:12:04 PM
i have a lot of fun playing with gpu and cpu, but i'm willing to explore other kind of plateform.
Last year, i bought an AVR just for fun. 8Bits and no FPU, couldn't make anything usefull with it, i "lost" 30€  ;D

I don't really know DSP and FPGA, i just know that ins some case it's very powerfull.
Of course, i want to do fractal : 32bits, floating points, and math :)

Any ideas, advices, links ?
It doesn't have to beat the power of a GPU (it's very unlikely to find something more powerfull than a gpu for fractal computing), it should be : exotic, interesting, and fun :)

Thank you.
