Title: COLOR CYCLING Post by: Wel lEnTaoed on July 30, 2010, 09:22:37 PM Don't think I've seen any here. Here is my 1st video of it. Mind blowing? CAUTION could cause siezures.

Title: Re: COLOR CYCLING Post by: Wel lEnTaoed on July 30, 2010, 09:32:34 PM I agree, being that I gave myself a headache. (seriously) Still learning W7. Does have that "old Hippy" effect! O0
Title: Re: COLOR CYCLING Post by: Sockratease on July 30, 2010, 11:27:56 PM Nice job O0
Don't think I've seen any here. Here's one I posted as an example of color cycling recently (over here: Link (http://www.fractalforums.com/let%27s-collaborate-on-something!/fractal-remixes!/msg16538/#msg16032) ) http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=pSCSjRHnKwY No parameter changes in that - just color cycling :alien: Title: Re: COLOR CYCLING Post by: teamfresh on August 02, 2010, 08:09:25 PM hardcore colour cycling to e107

You don't know me vewy well, do you? In my other life I ... Well... Yes. Not only have I read the manual, I helped it along by creating new circumstances requiring several addendums and new chapters to be added!! I'd say more, but this is a Family Friendly Forum  Title: Re: COLOR CYCLING Post by: teamfresh on August 07, 2010, 04:30:29 PM Paybacks are hell! :hurt: That's what I get for starting this thread! multi layered inverse fractal colour cycling http://www.vimeo.com/1814664 its a bit old now :( Title: Re: COLOR CYCLING Post by: Wel lEnTaoed on August 13, 2010, 03:27:22 PM Quit pouting ya big baby! :tease: I noticed it.. BTW when was the last time ya noticed something of mine? hmmn huh? Also in reference to it being "old" old is relative. I mean look at Socratease he may be considered old by some standards.. And yet he is trying to run me over with his tricycle! I see it as being an oldie but goody!

No offence but i'm hard to please, and even harder to eek a comment out of, however I have noticed you and i like your work so and maybe you can help me out :hmh: I need a high res image of a buddabrot as a background for my next 3D anim - Do you want to get involved? I love the glowy green one above.... Did you know that I'm just working with a simple laptop? How sa bout I keep doing what I'm doig & you let me know if you see anything you like? Or let me know the typ/style of images your looking for & I may be able to do that. Also I will be going away soon..(vacation)

The colouring algorithm then patterns the points in interesting ways that reveal motion paths of points by certain constraints. These constraints cause the colour points that meet them to be revealed and that is interpreted by me as a convoluted boundary really. It may or may not highlight the trochoidal paths. In the 3d case it is even more interesting because surfaces have to be computed and these then have to be coloured. So i feel that colour cycling is in some way modelling my vision system and its response to different wavelengths of light. In that sense i think it may be possible to establish a colour cycle which makes an item invisible in a certain background, very much like a chameleon! So what do we have when we say that a fractal is a mandelbulb? A real spatial item or a blend due to chameleon like colour cycles that camouflage? Similarly we may have to adjust the colour cycle to emerge the surface form from the background. What color(s) we see is all about how light affects it. So says Newton! lol Title: Re: COLOR CYCLING Post by: Wel lEnTaoed on November 29, 2010, 10:39:41 PM jehovajah-you have given me some things to think about :) in the meantime a colorcycling spiral http://www.youtube.com/my_videos_edit?ns=1&video_id=VVf7p0FLxeQ&next=%2Fmy_videos |
