One last detail zoom of a Buddhabrot with spectral coloring based on iteration count to wavelength mapping.

somehow this looks like layered mandelbrots, isnt it strange that orbit plottings yield to such simillar structures ?
i it is the buddhabrot i know ...

Yes agreed, the similarities to "conventional" Mandelbrots are striking, yet this has the touch an aquarell painting because of multiple overlapping shapes that blend together.

It appears that each additional iteration adds faint copies of the original shape at different angles and orientations.

a relatively high iteration buddhabroth will only display mandelbrot everywhere.
And it make sense, since high-iteration plot are only found at the edges of mandelbrot :)

this really does look like a Mbrot colour method on a Bbrot render... Do you think, you could modify it to smooth iterations? (Because it currently looks like an unsmoothed Mbrot^^)

This really has a nice look to it :)
