Title: Yellow box zoom in and out Post by: bib on July 01, 2010, 04:47:47 PM I know it's difficult to compete with the quality of Buddhi's video, but I do my best :hurt:
This one pushes the zoom limits of Mandelbulb 3D :evil1: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=iJVesJiOWy8 Title: Re: Yellow box zoom in and out Post by: Rathinagiri on July 01, 2010, 06:02:48 PM Oh my God! Wonderful video.

Title: Re: Yellow box zoom in and out Post by: bib on July 01, 2010, 08:07:00 PM the tune's name is Arabesque No.1
And the animation took about 2 days to render. Title: Re: Yellow box zoom in and out Post by: kram1032 on July 01, 2010, 11:03:16 PM Thanks :)
Really a great piece! When we had impresionistic music at school (a single lession), the examples wheren't half as good as this gorgeous piece :) Title: Re: Yellow box zoom in and out Post by: KRAFTWERK on July 02, 2010, 10:26:41 AM Well Buddhi is the Ingemar Bergman of box animations, but I love deep zooms bib, must do one on the good old mandelbulb some day, the one noone ever did. Great movie bib! Zoom-outs sometimes gives more feeling for how smaal the original imige where, and here you have both!! :) Title: Re: Yellow box zoom in and out Post by: Jesse on July 02, 2010, 12:26:32 PM Well done bib, very smooth.
Did you used antialiasing, that would explain the long time to render? Title: Re: Yellow box zoom in and out Post by: bib on July 02, 2010, 01:50:04 PM Thanks all for the nice comments :)
@Jesse, I did not use antialising. The long render time is due to the high number of frames (more than 5000), and to some parts : deep zoom frames, and frames with deep field of view. by the way, it's funny to note that the zoom limit can have different effects : at the beginning it seems that we see some polygons, whereas at the end it's more fuzzy.
