and, i think some other folding operations, or ifs ? Title: Re: Hybrid box zoom Post by: kram1032 on June 29, 2010, 11:46:55 PM Wild Guess:
First iteration: Mbox Second iteration: Mbulb All the other iterations: Mbox again. Lol, I'm probably far away, right? Title: Re: Hybrid box zoom Post by: blob on June 30, 2010, 12:44:53 AM What's certain is that it's made with Mandelbulb 3D. ;D
Hybrid of Amazing Box or Bulbox and Menger Sponge plus probably a few non objects external formula twists I guess... ??? Perhaps we should make a special thread to share some parameters files? What do you think about that guys? O0 Title: Re: Hybrid box zoom Post by: Sockratease on June 30, 2010, 01:08:28 AM The game is to guess what this object is made of :D :alien: Blue. Nice movie bib, I have to make one of my latest finding.... just need to figure out how to make it (and find the time to do it) :) Title: Re: Hybrid box zoom Post by: bib on June 30, 2010, 09:16:45 AM So the answer was :
Iteration 1 and 2 : Menger (scale -1.5) And from here, alternate : Menger (scale 3) and Amazing box (scale 2) More vids currently rendering. Stay tuned! Title: Re: Hybrid box zoom Post by: gussetCrimp on June 30, 2010, 07:48:44 PM Usually I like to zoom in on a stable object, but it's quite effective that most of this one disappears while we approach the final zoom. Does it disappear because you have to keep cranking the number of iterations to get zoomed-in detail, and at higher and higher iterations more of the object has vanished? What's the iteration count at the end? Well done again bib.
Title: Re: Hybrid box zoom Post by: bib on June 30, 2010, 08:34:21 PM The iteration count remains constant all the way, I left the default value of 60. Actually the object disppears in the background because of the far plane clipping. While previewing the animation I did not think this would be so noticeable and honestly I think it screws the whole animation. In my next videos I'm trying to avoid this, at the cost of more calculation time. |
