Title: quadrium2.2 beta testing (OS X)
Post by: gandreas on November 21, 2006, 05:54:32 PM
The first beta version of quadrium2.2 is available for abuse.  Normally, beta testing is only available for registered quadrium users, but for members of Fractal Forums I'm willing to make an exception.

quadrium2 is a fractal/procedual art/movie creation tool that uses a "data flow" model (you wire up nodes to connect together different effects) as well as various genetic engineering techniques (you can mutate and breed together different images).  You can then animate your creations (rendering to a Quicktime movie) or create large high resolution prints from it.  quadrium2 requires OS X 10.3.9 or later (10.4 strongly recommended, as is any recent G5 or Intel based Macintosh, though it should work on even an older G3).

This version includes the ability to nest nodes (so that you can easily create layers, or create new iterated fractals), script nodes (a fully native compiled scripting language to create new nodes or explore new types of fractals) and save individual nodes for reuse in later documents (so once you've created that new fractal you can easily use it in other documents).

Hello.

I had trouble getting this to work.

Turns out I failed to take note of your OS X notation!

I use OS 9 on my MAC and have no desire or money to upgrade.

I will keep the program and try to get OS X eventually.

I apologize for my mistake.

Peace.
