Title: Hello Post by: Krumel on June 06, 2010, 09:40:36 PM Well... Hello :D
I read this forum quite a while, because of my fascinations of fractals. Then I had the urge to answer to a topic and so I registered. So I'm here. I love math and I think I'm quite a good programmer (for my age (15)). Oh, and don't think I'm like the other teenagers on the internet... I'm much more adult. Um... anything to add? Oh yeah, my English is not the best, but I hope you can understand me (if I'm using wrong grammatics/words then please point me at that. I'm willing to learn) Title: Re: Hello Post by: cbuchner1 on June 06, 2010, 10:19:36 PM Welcome to the forums. So have you programmed a Mandelbrot renderer yet? Or any other fractal render? Title: Re: Hello Post by: Sockratease on June 06, 2010, 10:47:16 PM Hello and Welcome to the forums!
Oh, and don't think I'm like the other teenagers on the internet... I'm much more adult. Funny... I don't think I'm like the other adults on the internet... I'm much more childish! :evil1: We should get along fine. I look forward to seeing your contributions to the site and also wonder if your programming experiments have taken you to Fractal Generators yet O0 Title: Re: Hello Post by: cKleinhuis on June 06, 2010, 11:09:20 PM hello and welcome to the forums, great to see young people, bercause it reminds me on my age, my first fractal generator i have written
with 13 years, in amiga basic ... what programming language do the kids nowadays use ? ! i think it is hard to find a good entry for starters, tell us how you became attracted to programming, and what languages you are using right now Title: Re: Hello Post by: Krumel on June 07, 2010, 03:55:44 PM Thanks for the welcome!
Sure I've written a mandelbrot renderer yet, that's easy ;D . I've also written an extended version with features like zooming, changing the formula (although I didn't write the parser and the math lib (which I had to correct, because it used wrong formulas for division)) The language I use is Pascal/Delphi, but I've got also some experience in other language like Python, or Java (that's what where learning at school). Oh, and I forgot to say, that I've got an deviantart account (http://krumel0.deviantart.com/), so you can see some of my fractals there, although I'm currently not very active. Greetings, and Welcome to this particular Forum !!! :) Do not worry about the age, there have been many young people joining the Forum. And we usually understand what most say, even if English is not their native tongue. If you continue to enjoy fractals and math, then there will be much for you to explore and learn from within the many topics here. And if you have any questions, somebody here will surely have an answer (and it might even be a valid one). :dink: |
