The new layout seems to give priority to images that were posted years ago, and which therefore over time have naturally accrued many views and ratings. Unfortunately, this now means that the bulk of images at first view in the gallery are rather old, and not truly representative of the current, and ever-changing state of fractal art. The 30 day time period was, I felt, a more representative way of showing current trends in fractal art. This new layout looks more like a history lesson! Or is this temporary and I am missing some 'in joke'? The "new" label remains after having viewed the image and refreshed the gallery page. Btw the recent pictures section does not display the most recent. So not sure what is good there and what is not. But I did notice something at the bottom of the initial web page, in the section entitled "Gallery Admin Panel". There is a line of text that reads: Comments reported: 6 Check Reported Comments (http://www.fractalforums.com/index.php?action=gallery;sa=commentlist) And when I follow the link, there is nothing listed under the "Reported Comments" section. Why does it say there are six reported comments and give a link if it is not going to show them?? |
