Hello Everyone!

Just an idea...
I use Palm Tx, and I think would be interesting project: Mandelbulb for Palm OS.

Greetings, and Welcome to this particular Forum !!!    :)

The question now is, are you volunteering to assist with the programming on this project idea, or were you just wanting to have something to use??

I would like to help this project, but I'm not programmer.
I saw some superb fractal program for PocketPC and iphone, as far as for Palm the develop for fractal programs to stop about 2004.
After come the idea...

3D fractals are very demanding on the computer, both in terms of CPU power and memory.

Mobile devices tend to have limited CPU power and VERY limited memory. Mandelbulb rendering stresses out high-end desktop machines with gigabytes of RAM and multiple cores. I think that it is beyond the abilities of current mobile devices.

Considering the current investments in mobile devices, it should be possible to render 3D fractals on mobile phones in 5 years minimum, maybe 10... (I think todays smartphones are still not yet as powerful as 5 years old computers)
