Well lets see I've already been told that it's "boring & jumpy"  anyone else?  :)

the spider itself is a very interesting object, and it has to much "slow" motion :D
to achieve a slower movement the only solution is to render more in between pictures,
another point is increasing the frames per second, but anything below 24 is visible quality loss,
and above 24 is super high quality ( our eye can distinguish up to 50 frames per second )

i like the visiting of different locations in the fractal, but i like it most when some parameter is varied
while flying, because fractals are nice for themselves, i like it most to see the transformations of
parameters

and flying through a varying fractal is a lot harder to create, but i would love to see more deforming
videos!

Thanks Trifox!  Great critique..  A couple months ago I would not understood what your saying. This was done beginning of Feb?   I am a slow learner; but I do learn.   back then I had no idea of how to change parameters!  Yes that would have helped.  Spider needed to be a lil "edgier"  I also had/have a problem with "mouse" control.  I would go way too fast.   More "deforming" videos?  I think I got that!

Like this?

Since I'm obviously self taught I try every & anything I can think of.

Also this "deviates & deforms" more than usual being that I had NO idea what I was doing while trying 3D.

This topic was originally called Spiderman, so I just put here an old Batman image :D

Regarding "deformations" I think Trifox was talking about modifying the fractal parameters themselves (i.e starting point, power, etc...), not (just) the 3D height map.

nice animation ... but not smooth ... how many frames do you show per second ?
it looks like 2 or 5 ... :( ... it should be at least 25 :D

Yes I'm learning to slow it down. One of my biggest issues.  That was done a long time ago.  Now I have come to realize that being patient & slow is quite important to success with fractals.

I do believe your right bib!  I did not try to play with parameter # til I came here.  Now I do & love it! hmmn an example of where I play with the #'s????
