Title: Just to say hello Post by: Zeana on April 16, 2010, 06:20:23 PM Hi,
I'm new here, but 5 years ago I was seriously into fractals and then left them due to other commitments with my art. Now I see them and am tantalized by all the new developements but I find my techniques are waaaay out of date :'(, and I need to seriously learn some new things. Anyway, I hope to meet all and learn lots. ~Zeana Title: Re: Just to say hello Post by: Sockratease on April 16, 2010, 06:24:34 PM Hello and Welcome to the forum!
Things may appear different, but it's really still working on the same core concepts. I'm sure you'll get up to speed quickly ;D Feel free to ask questions if you want to understand any particular concept O0 Title: Re: Just to say hello Post by: cKleinhuis on April 16, 2010, 06:40:38 PM hello and welcome to the forums!

I am especially interested in Mandelbulb manipulation and Pixel Ray Bending. I hope to post some of my works here in the near future.

The trick is to just get used to the feeling and keep on fractalling! :D

Now I see them and am tantalized by all the new developements but I find my techniques are waaaay out of date... Greetings, and Welcome to this particular Forum !!! :) Not much discussion these days in the way of "art" technique, mostly mathematics and rendering techniques. But there should be plenty to review in all areas. Just by going through all of the Boards and Topics here should give you many ideas to get those "fractal juices" flowing. :dink: But I suggest working on what you personally would like to create artistically, trying to develop your own style, as opposed to following the current trends and popularity. Who knows, you may start something everybody else might think is the "latest wave". :D |
