Hello from Poland :)
Finally I have registered here...

I'm exploring fractals for many years now, starting from Fractint back in '90, now using mainly Apophysis (of which I'm a co-author), ChaosPro, UF3, Tierazon and so on... And for my various experiments I'm using povray, sometimes I'm writing my own tools (I'm a software developer in my real life).

I've registered here, 'cause I can see there're LOTS of people with a huge knowledge, and even more people with a huge passion :)

Always nice to see a fellow programmer :)

If you want a challenge the trickiest problem we all face at the moment is how to quickly render accurate detailed views of the Mandelbulbs from inside the bulbs rather than outside. So far the only such renders are essentially brute-force stepping and voxel methods but somethng providing the speed/accuracy of using distance estimation for the outside views is required, the problem is that iterations based on convergent bailout in inside areas don't get you close to the boundary except at rediculously high iteration counts.

lol, nice challenge, first i thought why not trace from infinity to the eye, when it came to my mind that this is not the surface we wanna have :D

Me too :P
I don't like Delphi, I prefer C and C++, it's easier for me to write in it... the problem with Apophysis is, Mark Townsend, the first Apo's author, wrote it in Delphi, unfortunately. Oh well.

Recently I've finally bought a CUDA-enabled card and I'm slowly learning all this stuff - it's fascinating, how all the old dreams can come true with this... Earlier it was just impossible to achieve such results :)
