halfway safari

http://www.fractalforums.com/index.php?action=gallery;sa=view;id=20550

someway past half the way down (in terms of zooms, more like 2/3 of the way) at the location of Pauldelbrot's Mandelbrot Safari (this is a view around the last atom domain before the final minibrot - zoom 5e221).

pseudo-de colouring with Kalles Fraktaler (my GMP fork running in WINE on Debian), 16000x9000 jpeg export, colour adjusted (gamma set to 2.4, white point set to 240/255) before cubic downscale to 1920x1080 in GIMP (giving ~70 samples per output pixel, a little over 8x8 supersampling).

render time 23m10s with 13 refs, iteration limit 200000 overkill as the maximum iterations achieved in the image is 110685, minimum 90938.

thanks to Paul for the location, and to Karl for the software

Lovely Claude, and you were the one that came up with the idea of pseudo distance estimation! :)
