Title: Woofractal Post by: dom767 on July 23, 2017, 11:40:57 PM Hi all,
It's been a long time since I've posted, but I've been working on a new program quietly in the background. The goal is a very simple user inteface with the capability of producing very high quality 3d renders. Here's a few samples. (http://woo4.me/wp-content/uploads/2014/01/Exportshq.jpg) If you'd like to find out more about it, here's the Launch Announcement (http://woo4.me/woofractal/announcing-woofractal/). And if you'd like to download the app, here's the woofractal download page (http://woo4.me/download/). Would gladly receive feedback! :) Title: Re: Woofractal Post by: 3dickulus on July 24, 2017, 04:30:08 AM Looks really nice, haven't tried it yet but will soon.
Does the user have access to shader or OCL code or is it all built-in and hidden behind the GUI? Title: Re: Woofractal Post by: menichetti on July 24, 2017, 07:26:23 AM Hi
Your software seems to be amazing! What is the PC configuration to use it? Thank's for your answer. Fred Title: Re: Woofractal Post by: dom767 on July 24, 2017, 09:10:32 AM Hi both,
I'm running the software on a £100 ATI graphics card and a dell laptop. The real limitation is GLSL compiles time. Decent with AMD drivers but sucky on Intel. There's no access to the underlying code as I've tried to hide the complexity behind the GUI. And of course there's already some decent apps around that give you that level of control. :) Dom Title: Re: Woofractal Post by: hirnlaich on August 16, 2017, 05:01:27 AM Hallo, I have downloaded the Woofractal and installed it. But at the start Woofractel crashes. Something with .Net Framework from Microsoft. Insatlled it on a Laptop Win10 64 Bit, Nvidia GeForce, i7. Any suggestions? Thanks in advance.
Title: Re: Woofractal Post by: dom767 on August 16, 2017, 11:02:19 AM I'm just looking into this now. If you wouldn't mind answering these questions they should help me to diagnose the issue...
Which version of the Geforce card do you have? Do you run any other OpenGL software on the laptop? Do you have .NET 4.5 installed? Ta! Dom Title: Re: Woofractal Post by: hirnlaich on August 17, 2017, 05:20:35 AM I have a GeForce GT 720M, I run a bunch of other OpenGL e.g. 3D Software (3D Coat, Blender, Substane Painter....).
Title: Re: Woofractal Post by: dom767 on August 17, 2017, 09:58:11 AM Thanks for that. Well the card is a little old, but it should support v4.5 GL and there's nothing outside that range that I'm using. I'll turn on startup debugging if you don't mind running a special version of the app. I'll have to do this tonight as I'm working today, but thankyou so much for your help so far. Remote debugging is tough!

If you're having trouble with crashes at startup, could someone send me the contents of Log.txt? Ta, Dom |
