To celebrate this I have now made a 3D print of the 9th Zoom-in on the smaller Grails inside the original Grail (the one you see in the artwork above is the original, you see the 2nd Grail inside the bowl at the top). Check out the photos and 3D-view of it here: https://www.shapeways.com/product/44AJFCH6E/ The 9th Holy Grail of the Holy Grail is smaller but with the same amount of detail as the original (I’ve learned a lot since… ;) ), the smaller size of course also makes it a lot cheaper to print. And I found it both even more beautiful and more Grail-like than my original piece. At this Zoom level… if the final, 9th Grail is 8cm high, the original is 1073741824 cm -that is 10737 km or 6 672 Miles high… Making the 9th 134217728 times bigger in this new print than it was in the original Grail. |
