Title: Need some help rendering an animation Post by: PurelyAtomic on February 06, 2010, 12:24:23 AM I'm not sure if this is selfish, but I spent all day yesterday in Ultra Fractal 5 making this great big animation only to find out that it's going to take 250 hours to render a 1 minute video at 24fps and 320x240. :o
I'm wondering if anyone would like to contribute some CPU cycles. Not sure if you can tell or not, but I just got interested in fractals a few days ago. Thanks in advance to anyone who helps out. Title: Re: Need some help rendering an animation Post by: PurelyAtomic on February 06, 2010, 02:15:46 AM It's just a basic mandelbrot set I was exploring. It was only my second attempt at animating, so I'm not going to lie, it probably wasn't worth it.

Or maybe browse through some of the ones found at this site: http://www.fractal-animation.net/ufvp.html (http://www.fractal-animation.net/ufvp.html) It could give you some direction in what you are attempting to do.
