Title: Is there something inside this spot or will I repeat zooms forever?
Post by: BlackHoleyWhale on December 30, 2016, 11:50:18 PM
So, my question is on a zoom I'm doing now. It's one of my firsts here is a link to it so you know what I mean by "the spot"
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8-u9rfonD8I

at that spot im zooming.. the "x" .. I'm delving into the center frame after frame hoping to find something "inside" (like a mini brot, or anything really).. so my question is, if I keep at it.. is there a golden pot at the end of the rainbow possibly? Or will it just continue this cycle forever and ever?
Also, if someone could give me a more clear define of just what constitutes a true "minibrot"?  All videos I've found that claim to have found one always have a circular radia around it ; maybe I'm not cuz I'm in a square / cross?

Thanks for any tips; and happy zooming~

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Misiurewicz_point

misiurewicz points just go on infinitely like that and dont lead to minibrots or anything else.  a minibrot is just what it sounds like, miniature versions of the main mandelbrot shape.  like the main mandelbrot they are comprised of periodic points that dont escape.
