Title: Semi-Conformal tetrahedral pow 3? Post by: DarkBeam on December 30, 2016, 11:36:17 AM Question to Tglad :angel1:
Can you kindly provide us the power 3 variant (and/or general int power) of your nice formula? I tried but I am not really satisfied with my result, please heeelp :'( Title: Re: Semi-Conformal tetrahedral pow 3? Post by: M Benesi on December 30, 2016, 09:54:05 PM What's the original formula?

Post by: Tglad on January 01, 2017, 01:37:00 AM Hi darkbeam, I think the answer is that there is no power 3. In fact it's probably only referred to as power 2 as it is similar to the Mandelbulb power 2 (and even that is only loosely linked to actual powers on fields such as on complex numbers).
But 'power' 4, 8 etc are possible by just repeating the transform. Title: Re: Semi-Conformal tetrahedral pow 3? Post by: DarkBeam on January 01, 2017, 09:30:43 AM Sorry if I insist but I saw those images: http://www.fractalforums.com/the-3d-mandelbulb/a-new-3d-mandelbrot-like-fractal/msg9947/#msg9947
It was pretty! :) Title: Re: Semi-Conformal tetrahedral pow 3? Post by: Tglad on January 01, 2017, 11:31:59 AM Hey, maybe it is possible then... or maybe I meant power 4... you could try doing the power 2 operation twice and see if it looks like those pictures.
Title: Re: Semi-Conformal tetrahedral pow 3? Post by: DarkBeam on January 01, 2017, 02:46:09 PM I have tried but maybe I will try again soon ;D
