Title: An exact flat Mandelbrot fractal resides inside the 3D Mandelbulb
Post by: MrMoe on December 17, 2016, 07:12:28 AM
I was wondering if an exact 2D Mandelbrot fractal could be found inside the 3D Mandelbulb, so I went looking - and there it was.

See the attached image, for the fractal itself and a simple 3 step description on how to "find" it (using the Mandelbulb3D application).

I just press 'reset' (in the position area). Then click on zmid.

Congrats for inventing a wheel;)

Well, M3D can do 2D render too. Just that there are no button for it.

Of corse it does. For that Mandelbulb was invented;) It just isn't true 3D mandelbrot becouse there is no sutch thing.
