Heres a sherlock pinball game https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=aK0XgQ5fA6k example. Just thought fractals would be fun with bible theme so contact me everyone! thanks Title: Re: bible and fractal Post by: TheRedshiftRider on November 23, 2016, 07:28:48 AM Welcome to the forums.
That seems like an interesting idea. O0 Hello new to this forum. Im making a bible game using fractals, if anyone is interested for more info please contact me thanks! Isn't the idea of a forum to communicate on the forums itself instead of asking people to send an e-mail*. Could you instead give a little bit more information on the subject here?verseability@aol.com *= If you want e-mail notifications for this topic you can subscribe to it, on the upper left is a button for that. Title: Re: bible and fractal Post by: gwalter on November 23, 2016, 08:10:33 AM aha thank you Im new here. The game would tell stories of the bible but using
art made from mandelbulb- It may look wonderful but the theme may turn people off (for even people into the bible that may just want "traditional" visuals) whereas Im going for abstract themes somewhat. Im a designer but do some coding, and as i say am new to fractals so im not sure what the limits are just yet- but they look great and seem not to be used in games too much! Im wondering if this is a limit in technology or just people not aware of fractals? I am just finding out and im passionate about the bible so id like to see how this develops and anyone else interested (early stage here!) Thanks again. PS is there an icon-list of mandelbulb3d formulas (rather than video like https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=bTBi3r1uKTk which is nice reference too). Happy holidays. I made an icon-list of all the formulas using the same images in that video: http://fractalogy.org/formulas-mandelbulb-3d/ Title: Re: bible and fractal Post by: gwalter on November 24, 2016, 01:03:49 AM thats a great list thanks!!!
Title: Re: bible and fractal Post by: TheRedshiftRider on November 24, 2016, 08:54:49 AM aha thank you Im new here. The game would tell stories of the bible but using Nice idea. I am curious what the result is going to look like. I am not a believer of a religion myself but I do like the idea of people trying to incorporate fractals into a religion. I live in an area where there is a moderate amount of people with a religion but I have managed to make them aware of fractals. :)art made from mandelbulb- It may look wonderful but the theme may turn people off (for even people into the bible that may just want "traditional" visuals) whereas Im going for abstract themes somewhat. I do not think technology is the limiting factor in this case. People are indeed not always aware of fractals even though they see them every day.PS is there an icon-list of mandelbulb3d formulas (rather than video like https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=bTBi3r1uKTk which is nice reference too). Happy holidays. I am sorry, I am not very familiar with mandelbulb3d.Title: Re: bible and fractal Post by: gwalter on November 24, 2016, 04:19:56 PM yes thats the amazing part- seeing fractals without realizing it! Right in front of me! It brings me to my creator (as a believer)....Experimenting- ok into the lab i go... Happy Holidays all. |
